Nicole Richie Creating Ovc Fashion Line
Nicole Richie is creating a fashion line for home shopping channel QVC.
Nicole Richie is designing a fashion line for QVC.
The 30-year-old designer will further expand her work with a "cute" range of clothing for the home shopping network, which will launch in February.
A source told Usmagazine.com: "The line is cute - it can be worn by teeny-tiny girls but also goes up to size XXXL. Nicole has a great fashion sense, and she's very hands-on."
The launch of the line will tie in with the premiere of reality TV show 'Fashion Star', on which Nicole - who has a line of womenswear called Winter Kate, an accessories line called House of Harlow 1960 and Nicole, her maternity collection - acts as a mentor for aspiring designers.
The reality TV star - who was recently named Influencer of the Year at Accessories Council Excellence (ACE) Awards for House of Harlow 1960 - recently said she designs for women who are not "afraid to take risks" and enjoy having "fun" with their wardrobes.
Describing her typical customer, she said: "[She is] a multitasker, a woman who wears many hats, someone who isn't afraid to take risks and have fun with fashion."

Foster's Father Accused Of Property Scam
Jodie Foster's father has been charged with 17 counts of grand theft over his alleged part in a property scam.
Lucius Fisher Foster Iii, who is estranged from his famous daughter, allegedly offered to build 20 homes in California and took deposits from prospective buyers, but the construction work was never carried out.
The 89 year old is accused of cheating his investors out of more than $100,000 (£62,500) and is facing 17 counts of grand theft and seven of contracting without a licence.
Deputy City Attorney Don Cocek says, "(He) told at least half the victims that he is Jodie's father as part of the scam to build up trust... no house was ever built."
Foster, who is free on his own recognisance, denies the charges and a pretrial hearing has been set for 17 November (11), according to the Associated Press.

She tells Britain's Daily Star, "Yes of course (I'll go back). I haven't set a date yet, but I will definitely be going back out to Afghanistan to see Andy."

Gene Simmons Lectures London Business Students
Rocker Gene Simmons shared the secrets of his success with students in London on Thursday night (10Nov11) at a surprise economics lecture.
The Kiss singer held a special workshop, entitled Dream Big with Gene Simmons, at the prestigious London Business School and he handed out commerce tips and advice.
Simmons has also written a column for Britain's The Sun, addressing the current global economic crisis - and the star reveals how he would fix the problems.
He writes, "The mess is our fault - corporations have no responsibility. Capitalism is the best thing that ever happened to human beings. The welfare state sounds wonderful but it doesn't work. Governments hand out more money than they have to support welfare and they land in debt. Then they have to borrow money... that's bad business.
"When I was growing up, my mother went to work. There was no welfare. If you worked, you made money. If you didn't work, you had to figure it out - you'd go and wash dishes."

Westlife Split After 'Cracks' Remained Despite Label Swap
Westlife decided to split after their plan to leave Simon Cowell's record label failed to repair the "cracks" in the band.
The Flying Without Wings hitmakers have announced they are to hang up their mics in 2012 following a greatest hits tour, after 14 years together.
They have insisted the split will be for good and that the move is not a publicity stunt, revealing they turned down millions to carry on.
Now Nicky Byrne admits the singers knew they had to go their separate ways after leaving Cowell's Syco imprint earlier this year (11), as the move did not improve relations within the band as they had hoped.
He tells Britain's Daily Record, "The cracks had formed and we were trying to patch things up when we left Syco, rather than quitting. We thought we would try and change everything to see if things improved and it wasn't to be.
"It wasn't one thing just a gradual progression. The amount of pressure to constantly do it at the right level was huge.
"There have been cracks internally for quite a while. Because we were releasing a greatest hits this year and re-negotiating our contract, it felt the right time.
"This was the moment where we manned up and said, 'We've done what we can with Westlife.'"
And the pop star reveals their manager, The X Factor judge Louis Walsh, has been left heartbroken by their decision: "He thought the idea of the split would go away when we told him. He finds it hard to talk about it.
"He hopes it'll be a long break but we've had to keep enforcing it to him, it's not. He's devastated."

Bruce Springsteen Raises $160,000 At Charity Show
Bruce Springsteen raised $160,000 (£100,000) for wounded soldiers by auctioning off his guitar, shirt and harmonica at a charity show in New York on Thursday (09Nov11).
The Boss performed at the Stand Up for Heroes gig at Manhattan's Beacon Theatre alongside comics including British funnyman Ricky Gervais, Kathy Griffin and Jon Stewart to raise money for charities which aid military families.
Springsteen helped raise even more cash on the night by offering up his belongings to the highest bidder, who subsequently donated the guitar to war veteran Andrew Kinard, who lost both his legs in Iraq, according to Rolling Stone.
The event raised nearly $400,000 (£250,000) in addition to ticket sales for the Bob Woodruff Foundation and ReMind.org.
